Tug of War

Here we are playing tuggies. I bring the toy up and then pull as hard as I can. When Dad wins he throws my toy down the hall. Then I chase it.

This is me at the end of the hall retrieving the toy. It's a long way for a little pup.

Here I am with the toy in my mouth bringing it back to Dad.

I've learnt to bring it back, but I still haven't worked out what "drop it" means, so we have another tug until Dad wins again.

We carry on playing this game until one of us gets bored, and Dad lets go and I fall over. From the above comments, you can see who gets bored first (it isn't me). I still haven't worked out what to do if I win as Dad won't chase it for me, but it's fun anyway.

Outside I play the same sort of game but it is usually with a ball, which means that we do not have the tug of war. I just run and fetch the ball. I've tried leaving it for Dad to fetch, but he just sits and watches me. He's not as good at the game as I am. He is good at getting a broom to retrieve the ball when it goes onto the pool cover. I tried it once, but I fell in! (When I was little I could walk across the pool cover, but now I'm bigger I'm too heavy).
