Digging

Mum
used to have a plant here, but it died. Seeing as plants get bigger when
you grow them, I have applied the same theory to my bones. If I plant them
in the ground they should grow. |
|
I
tried to cover the bone up before Mum and Dad came home, but my paws just
couldn't push the soil back into the hole. Instead I put a rock over it,
but I still got told off for digging. I thought I was being quite clever,
trying to grow my own bone plant. |

Like
every good workman, a good workdog needs a tool. I found one that is just
right for digging the soil and saving my paws. Mum calls it a dustpan for
sweeping into, I call it a dog sized digging tool. |

Well,
this is the result of one afternoon's shovelling with my blue digging tool.
Dad wasn't too pleased with me and shouted. He took my bones out and put
all the soil back in. That made it easier for me to dig the next day. This
has been going on for about a week now and Dad has finally given in to me.
I get to dig the hole each day, and he fills it in of a night time. He
reckons it is better for me to dig in one place all the time as it saves
the rest of the garden for the human plants. (Maybe if he left my bones in
there they might grow bigger for me!) |
