"SUMO"

"Sumo" was born on the 8th november 1994 and was by far the larger of the two boys that were in the litter, hence the name Sumo!! it started as a joke and a nick name him being so big compared to the litter mates. But as it turns out we had decided to keep it and not change his name to something else.

He has also kept up the family tradition of excelling himself while in the show ring, gaining his Thow Title at 17 months, sumo was my First Home Bred Champion out of the very first litter under the TASTOWN prefix.

  • Zone 3 Point Score Winner 1997 (for the males) for The Border Collie Club Of Qld Inc
  • 1997 Runner up Top Dog of The Year Group five for Townsville Kennel Assoc Inc
  • Retired in June 1998 sitting on 403 Challenge points

Sumo now enjoys bounding around the yard with what ever he can find to carry in his mouth and is a real character to watch while playing. His pedigree can be viewed below.
