Born at Blackmans Bay Tasmania on the 9th March 1998, "KB" arrived in Townsville at the age of 11-1/2 weeks. This beautiful well boned, sound Border Collie's show career was to say very full filling. Right from the first time he set foot in the Show Ring!!, Winning Multiple Class in Group and Class in Show Awards up through all age classes.Also winning CC and Best of Breed in Tasmania while on holidays as well as 1st Place Australian Brd Dog Class at the 1994 Launceston Royal Show.

Claiming his first BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP at thirteen months old with Many Many more to follow, "KB" was awarded his Australian Championship Title at the age of fourteen months.He also won fourth place in Junior Dog class at the 1989 Brisbane Royal Show. Still to this day he is the only border collie in North Qld to win Top Junior of The Year for Townsville Kennel Assoc Inc.

Consistent wins included, Multiple BEST AUSTRALIAN WORKING DOG Awards along with MultipleCountry Point Score of the Year Awards,1st Place Australian Bred dog class 1991 Launceston Royalhow, Challenges and Best of Breeds in Queensland and Tasmania A great Ambassador for the breed in those days!!, other Achievements also attained were THREE BEST EXHIBIT IN SHOW'S along with being the only border collie in Nth Qld to Qualify for Qld's Top Dog of The Year Competition in 1992 and as it happens he was awarded RUNNER UP TOP DOG of The Year in the Zone 3 final in Mackay.

"KB" was retired in 1994 sitting on roughly 1500 Challenge Points to enjoy what he likes best and that's relaxing at home and swimming in our pool as much as possible. In 1998 when the ANKC introduced the Grand Champion Title for dogs who had attained a total of 1000 Challenge Points. "KB" was bought out of retirement and returned to the show ring at 10-1/2 years old, to win that ONE Challenge needed to be granted his new Title of GRAND CHAMPION, doing so with the greatest of ease in a full Challenge Dog line up!!!! also taking out BEST VETERAN IN SHOW on the same day. Way to go "KB"!!!.

He did not only set the show ring on fire, but left his mark on the breed by producing Champions and Obedience Titled kids and grandkids.....visit his sons and daughters on this site.
"KB" now enjoys being able to lay around all day and receive all the cuddles and attention he can con anyone into giving him. He is still number one in my heart and none else will ever take his place, as I believe that your first always has that special touch just a bit more than anyone else.
I am pleased to say that he has celebrated his 15th BIRTHDAY and by the look of the photo and the smile on his face! he is still enjoying life to the fullest, and yes he did enjoy his cake very much.
