TASTOWN BORDER COLLIES est. 1988 It was for the love of dogs that bought me to acquire my first purebred border collie. I had been the proud owner of a border x kelpie called Bonnie for sixteen and a half years and was (and still am occasionally) showing Australian Silky Terriers. Before Bonnie left for the rainbow bridge the obvious choice in my mind was to purchase a pedigree Registered Border..... and the rest is history! Tastown Border Collies are situated in Townsville, Tropical North Queensland, Australia!! The TASTOWN Prefix originates from joining together two names, Tasmania, being the birth place of my first Show Border Collie and my own place of residence Townsville, making 'TASTOWN'. To date I have bred only 4 litters, only breeding my girls when I require another Family member. The four that I have kept and shown from these litters, have all obtained their Australian Championship Titles with ease. Having just bred litter number four, a litter of one we are hopeful of yet another Tastown Champion in the not too distant future. I would like to say thank you to Syd and Shirley Munton, (Aldyson Borders Collies, Tasmania) for giving me the opportunity of purchasing my first border collie in May 1988 "KB" Aust Grand Ch Aldyson King Billy, who was truly a Wonderful Ambassador for the Breed in his Show days. Also for the chance to own / co-own and Title two other Fantastic Border Collies. "Kate", Aust Grand Ch Aldyson Leading Lady and her litter brother "Harvey", Aust Grand Ch Aldyson Masterpiece ET.
