Psychedelic 100 The most outasight Top 100 list of late-60s psychedelic albums in existence anywhere in the known and hallucinogenic universes. Punk 2 New Wave In early-1974 New York nightclub CBGBs became the focal point of a music scene that would eventually become known as 'punk rock'. By the close of 1975 the scene would include performance poet Patti Smith, bratty power-riffers the Ramones, Deborah Harry's Blondie, quirky intellectuals Talking Heads and a handful of others. Meanwhile, Ramones gigs in London in July 1976 proved to be the catalyst for the convergence of the UK punk scene, with the Sex Pistols and the Clash leading the way. Another great Top 100 Albums site.

Folk Fringes Beginning in the early-1960s young singer/songwriter Bob Dylan was at the forefront of the new strains of popular music that were heavily influenced by folk traditions. Today a host of folk-influenced styles of music are widely recognised, generally (but not always) featuring a healthy dose of acoustic folk instruments from the American and British traditions. The songs themselves are often topical and the sound is typically easy on the ear. Folk Fringes features an 'all-time greatest' list and a list focussing on contemporary folk artists and albums released in the last ten years.
