My Attained Skills

I have completed studying Certificate IV in Web Design and Web Administration at the Devonport TAFE, which ended in December 2005. During this time I was required to complete numerous fictitious web page designs to specification, including creating page layouts, logos, and any other graphics needed to complete assignments. I was also required to complete three major assessments, these are:

* Mid Year (June) assessment, to create a number of web pages to specification for a business.
* Multimedia presentation in the form of a CD Rom on a subject of your choice.
* Final (December) assessment of a web site of your choice for a company, showing competencies in planning, design, forms, scripts, text layout, graphics, security, traffic (visitor) flow and site up-keeping.

We also worked on a section called a "toolbox" and that covers many web design topics, assignments and tests that are worked on throughout the year. Whilst working on the "toolbox" I have made numerous mock up web pages (as mentioned above), some of which I may add here at a later date to give you an idea of the different designs.
In February 2006 I began my Diploma in Project Management and this will be completed by December 2006.

My Submissions/Work in progress

Below is some information of projects I have applied for and worked on in 2005 and some that are ongoing projects.

* February 2005, Submitted and accepted for two designs to be used as shop front images and business cards for a local business wanting to open up soon. See Red Possum in the Logos section.
* May 2005, submission of three sample logos for Sheffield District High School to use on their letter heads.
* July 2005, submitted and accepted designs for a local limousine service for their web site. (yet to be uploaded to their site, links will follow soon, sample page here.)
* September 2005, upkeep, care and updates for the Central North Wildlife Care & Rescue site. (still ongoing)
* October 2005, global help site for the Tsunami relief appeal and Katrina/Rita relief Sharmas.com.
* January 2006 (still ongoing with regular updates), designed web site for a local employment company which you can view here.
* February 2006 began my Diploma in Project management.
* April 2006 full re-designed Web Pages for Work Direct ( still ongoing).
