Some Info About Me

My Name is Maureen, I have a daughter in high school, one dog, one cat, and until recently one goldfish :-)
I am one of 4 in my family (all girls) and an identical twin.

I live in Tasmania, the only Island State in Australia, and am currently studying at TAFE (Technical And Further Education) doing my Diploma in Project Management. last year I completed two certificate IV courses, one in in Web Design and one in Web Administration.
I have always had a strong desire to design web pages and make graphics, at first for my own satisfaction then as time went on I wanted to do them for other people too.
Hence my return to study, and web design and graphic courses.

I bought my first computer in March 1999 and back then I had never even turned a computer on! So getting my very own computer, venturing into the big World Wide Web (aka www) and trying to learn how not to break the computer or get a virus or any other scary thing that you hear about was a real challenge! (for me anyway)
Once I realised that you can do quite a lot on a computer before it decides to not want to play how you want to play, I then thought, why not learn something more than just how to send an email or how to talk to friends.

So now I have arrived at creating web pages, making graphics, and helping out friends who are unsure just like I was in the beginning. And I love it!
