Andrew's  Holden  Pages

These pages celebrate the Family Holden Car , its History and detailed information on the Models  produced over the last  50 years.

My affair with General Motors Holden started in 1976 when I purchased a 1964 EH Special Wagon in Sydney for $300 and travelled north to Cairns with the odd sojourn to Western Queensland thrown in to test the car's rough road capabilities. An overseas trip was next on the agenda, necessitating its sale.

On our return to Brisbane from 18 months globe trotting, I purchased a white HR Special Wagon for $600. We travelled in this reliable old wagon throughout Queensland over the next 5 years and eventually sold it for $650 on Thursday Island where I was teaching at the time - I believe it is still going strong, albeit very rusty and worse for wear. The 'Red Engines' , which followed the celebrated 'Grey Engines', never missed a beat, a testament to the strength of the Holden donk. For purely family reasons, a series of wagons followed ( VL Vacationer, VN Berlina, VR Acclaim ) to the present VT Berlina Wagon we are now running with.

My Classic Holden collection now consists of an  EH Holden Special SedanHR Holden Premier and EK Holden Special Sedan, all road registered and driven when possible. Come down memory lane and visit my  EH , EK , FJ, HR pages. Visit the Trophy collection too. Also, while you are here, check out my NASCO accessories wanted page - there are a few extras I would like to finish off the cars.

Please email me photos and a brief description of your classic car so I can publish them on our Guests Car Photo page.

I  have also made a general  Links  page, Personal Homepage directory and have listed  Car Club web pages, found to date. If you are interested in Garagealia or Australian petrol/oil history, check out these pages.

Please sign the guestbook or email me if you have any other worthwhile sites I can add, even if it is your own personal page. I will make a link from my 'Personal Homepage' directory to your site.

Happy Holden Motoring!!
