Seminars for larger groups

Since early 1980's, in Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and the United Kingdom, we have held some 45 weekend workshops for veterinarians and these are continuing as demanded.

To answer your question "Why should I learn the art of Acupuncture ?"

(1) PATIENT BENEFITS .

There are veterinarians who use acupuncture in cattle, pigs and camels. Most veterinarians limit their use of acupuncture to musculo-skeletal disorders, but it can also be used in neurological, physiological, cardio-vascular, endocrine, and many other applications as well. Armed with the knowledge and techniques that this course will give you, it is possible for you to successfully treat a very wide range of animal disorders.

(2) PRACTITIONER BENEFITS

Despite the efforts of some to cloak acupuncture with a mystique and an aura of complexity, it remains a simple technique, the basics of which can be successfully learnt in a short time.

It is my mission to take a practitioner with no previous knowledge of acupuncture, and after two days of integrated theory and practical sessions, provide him/her with sufficient knowledge and experience to begin treating cases in a clinic situation the very next day.

In fact I encourage course participants to contact me with details of their very first miracle. It is a continuing buzz for me to get the "miracle reports" the very next week!

What they have said....over the past 18 years.

David Gilchrist's weekend seminar was - even taking into account the fact that I normally work weekends which virtually doubled the cost - the most practical and worthwhile gathering that it has been my pleasure to attend.
( Dr Joan Humphreys, Vic., 20/8/1981 after seminar #1)

I am writing to say that despite our scepticism (initially) we are getting great success with acupuncture treatment since your course. Our treatments have been confined mainly to musculo-skeletal and nerve paresis problems with about 80 -90% success rate - some long term paresis problems have responded amazingly well which has stunned us!
( Dr W. 7/9/83 NSW)

I am continuing to have good success with acupuncture treatments and have begun a (4 yr Human) Acupuncture Diploma Course
( Dr W. 13/3/84 NSW)

I plunged into acupuncture straight away (after the course) or I may have lost courage. I have been quite amazed at my good results despite my ineptitude and the simplicity of the formulae. I have been mainly treating arthritis, anorexia, respiratory depression, and CNS disorders.
( Dr Y Aug 93 NZ)

Since completing David Gilchrist's course, I have persisted with the practice of acupuncture in my small animal practice, where it has become an essential "back-up" therapy to conventional medicine. I have no hesitation in offering it as an alternative treatment to clients.
I can recommend the acupuncture course to my colleagues wholeheartedly.

(Dr Tony Thelander, Past Pres ASVA, Qld)

I think the recent acupuncture weekend in Nelson must have passed by the fastest of any I can remember. It was a most stimulating experience and has certainly given me a greater confidence to pursue this discipline further. I wanted to thank you for giving your time to spread the word.
( Dr M 20/12/1985 NZ)

I have watched veterinarians trained under David Gilchrist suceed with acupuncture to the great benefit of their patients. I can state without equivocation that any practitioner who studies under David will gain very valuable and practical knowledge, which if developed and utilised will give forth splendid therapeutic results in quite a range of otherwise intractable conditions. David Gilchrist is an innovator with a fund of effective valuable knowledge.
( Dr Tom Hungerford OBE FACVSc HDA and former Director of Post Grad. Foundation in Veterinary Science, University of Sydney. NSW)

Thanks a lot! I will let you know about my acupuncture miracles soon, just a bit flat out, but I am amazing myself and my clients. If I choose the
right case, eg muscle/back pain etc I am getting animals which have been
lame for months to walk normally! I am so glad I started studying with you, thanks.

(Dr Sam Sorensen, WA. After the 39th seminar October 1997)
