Equine Muscle Release Therapy (EMRT) is the only official Bowen "on horses". Equine Muscle Release Therapy is recognised by the Bowen Academy of Australia, developed by Alison Goward from Eumundi. EMRT is a natural, gentle, non invasive treatment that empowers the body's own healing resources.

EMRT Therapy is fast growing, most people are now aware of the human Bowen and the highly effective results it can achieve.

EMRT comprises of small gentle moves over the fascia (connective tissue), it is safe to use on new born foals to the retired horse. The muscles and tendons are gently manoeuvred across-fibre, and this stimulates energy flow, sending a message to the nervous system, to reprogramme and heal itself.

Working on all levels- physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, it has been described as the homeopathy of bodywork.

EMRT compliments traditional veterinary medicine very well, although it is not a replacement for veterinary advice, depending on the condition. Although some vet's are yet to embrace this philosophy, we are hopeful that our results will speak for themselves and more vets will recognise the benefits of EMRT.

EMRT prompts the body into doing its own healing. Horses become sore, tired, depressed, irritable and suffer injuries or genetic disease. EMRT is treating their problems with great results with this gentle non invasive therapy.

From race horse to dog, animals respond very rapidly. Generally only needing two or three treatments to clear most conditions. Animals respond very rapidly they love being treated, they do not have as many “hang-ups” as humans, they live in the moment, results are often immediate, seemingly miraculous.
