The Horse owner Course was introduced in 1993 and the first Practitioner Course was held in 1997 where EMRT was introduced worldwide. Alison noted from observations that horses, like humans are under the same body stress and strain, which if not alleviated can lead to problems within the physical structure of the animal.
EMRT is recognized as a gentle, highly effective, non invasive treatment, suitable for helping in a wide range of conditions. It consists of gentle rolling, sequential moves over specific points of the muscular fascia stimulating the nervous system, the brain is signaled to initiate the healing process.

Energy flows are stimulated & balanced, encouraging the body to reset and heal itself, producing rapid and lasting relief from pain and discomfort. It can be used in conjunction with, and can complement veterinary and other healing modalities. It does not purport to replace veterinary treatment where this is required.
Human Bowen is currently being taught and practiced world wide. The late Mr. Tom Bowen’s system is unique, his methods having amazed and intrigued the many practitioners of all modalities who saw him or his pupils work.
Equally fascinated and deeply grateful were the many thousands of patients he treated. Mr. Bowen practiced in Geelong until his passing in 1982. His clinic was always extreamely busy, as verified by the 1975 Federal Governments webb report, stating that he treated 13,000 patients a year. A truly gifted man with “magic hands” EMRT is the only recognised bowen on horses in the world by the Bowen Academy of Australia.
