Biblical Origins
In Ancient Egypt

Introduction

Most of the facts are literally rock solid evidence left to us by those very same spiritual people who revered and respected their Gods, and had done so for thousands upon thousands of years.     Their Story, Their Gods lay almost forgotten, in Tombs, in the Pyramids, and beneath the Desert Sands, awaiting the day when religious tolerance could sweep away the clouds and mists of the Bible Fairy Stories.     Saved from defacement by bigoted priests, all knowledge of the meaning of the colourful hieroglyphic texts was erased from the mind of man.     Until, that is, a the time was right.      The Stories of the Ancient World have now been deciphered and studied.     It is the wish of those Ancients that you listen now to the legacy left behind by an Amazing and extremely knowledgeable People.

But first we have to blow away the smokescreens and veils that a later people created to cloak the truth and turned to serve their own interests.     In so doing they changed their entire history and heritage. They called the first five books of the Bible, the Torah.     A misnomer if ever there was one, for the ancient texts of Egypt now reveal that it is very far from being the Truth.     We should not be too hasty to judge them, for we have the advantage of being able to read the original texts, whilst they had only the tales handed down orally from one generation to another.

The Bible is full of confusion.

Some of the confusion is clearly attributable to the Scribes trying to fit old legends passed down from time immemorial into their World as they knew it around 600 BCE.     In the New Testament the contradictions are so obvious that it has been conjectured that they are deliberate, and the many instructions telling the reader to seek and learn were added so that one could learn the scripture's more divine meaning.     (Freke & Gandy, "The Jesus Mysteries" page 234.)

You have the choice to maintain a closed mind, ignore the evidence put before you, or to evaluate it without bias from previous convictions that may turn you away from what is staring you in the face.

We have no idea exactly when the Bible was written, or for what reasons.      All we know is that it was handed down orally for perhaps a thousand years, until any words were written.     We do know that it is full of contradictions and tales that have proved to be wrong.      We do know that it has been altered many times.      We do know that in translation from Greek to other languages there are mistranslations, which completely alter the meaning.      For example there is no Book of Joshua in the original Greek Version, but a Book of Jesus instead.      Also there is no mention of the Red Sea in the Hebrew version, but a Sea of Reeds, which bordered the Mediterranean.     We do now have some corroboration in the form of the Dead Sea Scrolls, but these were in the hands of Roman Catholic Priests for many years, who delayed any publication for years, giving rise to accusations that the Scrolls were tampered with.

Ancient Egyptian texts, including the Gnostic Gospels found at Nag Hammadi, remain virtually intact.      The Egyptian texts date back at least three thousand years, and some to the Old Kingdom and even earlier.     They predate the Dead Sea Scrolls by a minimum of one thousand years.     It is true that some of these have been defaced, but only by the Priests of Amen who were trying to remove any trace of Akhenaten, the religion of the Hyksos Pharaohs, and the Hebrew God, Aten who in Greek became Adhon or Adonis.      Fortunately thousands of the missing stones bearing texts from the days of Akhenaten have been recovered, painstakingly identified and put back into their original order, so that they can be read once more.

The message from Ancient Egypt is therefore practically intact.     We can easily see where the Bible stories originated, and with that knowledge we can unravel the Bible mysteries, and see where The Book was born, and what was the true meaning behind the Mysteries.

When a large number of Hebrews did leave Egypt in search of a 'promised land', they took with them a religion that had its roots in Egypt and they needed to relocate it in their new home, just as much as latter day migrant's littered the New World, South Africa, South East Asia and Australasia with the names of just about every town and city in the whole of the British Isles.      Some names have been copied a hundred times and more.      Furthermore the new migrant City often contains a flurry of the same local names.      For example Newcastle in New South Wales has suburbs named Wallsend and Hexham and even jumps old borders to accommodate Cardiff and Swansea.

How can we trust English translations and presentations of Egyptian Texts to have been faithfully interpreted without prejudice and as close as possible to the message the Scribes engraved and painted in temples and tombs?      After all the Bible has proved to be false, why not translations of the Ancient Texts?

The simple answer is check for yourself.      On the one hand there are many translations and one can be checked against another.     Many of these can be found on the Internet.      Then again, it is quite easy to get a clear picture of Egyptian life and their beliefs through the many books that have been researched and written for us.      Some like Maurice Cotterell's "The Tutankhamun Prophecies" append extracts in the original hieroglyphics with both transliteration of the Egyptian words and their meaning in English beneath each glyph.     Others, such as Ralph Ellis's 'Tempest & Exodus' closely examine certain glyphs to reveal the astonishing facts that the signs were meant to tell.     A basic knowledge of the hieroglyphs and Egyptian may be gleaned from lessons on the Internet.     But a better understanding can be quickly learned from "How to Read Egyptian Hieroglyphs" by Mark Collier and Bill Manley, published by The British Museum Press, 1998, a book so popular that it reached its 11th impression in 2003.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to refer to bibliography and check everything for yourself.      In some odd cases I have found that the author has either read more meaning into the original source, or has used a little licence to stretch it a little.     Yet on the whole they have been very honest.      The end result has always proved to be so close to the original intent that any deviation can be forgiven.      I cannot say the same for the Scribes who wrote the Old and New Testaments.
