Basic provision of good
food, especially meat as cats are carnivores, also cooked and boned fish, cheese, clean water,
minimal dried
food, lots of love and quality time with your pet as well as a safe place to
play & sleep.
ê
Normally our breeders
have desexed your kitten before it leaves them. We try our best to ensure that
we are assisting in reducing the numbers of pets being dumped at pounds.
ê
It is your job as the new owner to ensure the kitten is safe - both now and when
it is an adult. Never put a cat out at night and we strongly advise confining
your pets to your own property and not allow them to become a nuisance to your
neighbours. Keep them indoors with access to a safely enclosed outdoor play area
where possible. A kitten does not stay a cute little ball of fluff for long -
you are taking on the care of this delightful Burmese baby for possibly 20
years.
ê
Provide veterinary care
when necessary. You do not have to vaccinate annually any more. The kitten will
have had at least one vaccination before you adopted it - then it needs 1 more a
month after the first one and if this happens at 14-16 weeks of age, then the
3rd one will be in 12 months time. After that every 3 years unless you place it
into a boarding cattery... they will require a recent vaccination certificate if
they are showing due care for all their boarders.
ê
Good food and lots of
love!
ê
Clean litter tray daily, litter and
litter scoop for disposing of solids.
ê
Scratching pole and toys for
entertainment - cardboard boxes and balls of paper are always enjoyed.
ê
Worming tablets once a quarter.
ê
Flea comb, nail cutters, feed & water bowls.
ê
Cosy bed and clean blanket unless the cat/kitten
is allowing you to sleep with him/her!
