Burmese
cats enjoy a world wide reputation of being friendly and fun-loving. They often
play well into middle age and try to teach you how best to play hide 'n'
seek and ambush games! They are often compared to "puppy" ways,
being very good at playing "fetch" and following you around.
Kittens are mischievous and adventurous, and as such, do need a watchful
eye on them to keep them out of harm's way. They are usually good with
children and the elderly and normally "take charge" of the
family pup. Because they truly love a caring owner, they will fret when
separated from you and express their disapproval when you return.
They are medium in size
with desexed girls weighing in about 4kg on average, and boys about 6kg.
They often weigh more than you would think whilst looking at them, but
still, some are smaller and yet others can be quite big. If you can see Mum
& Dad cats, then you will get a better idea of the size they can grow to.
They have a short, soft coat with a lovely shine, particularly on the dark
brown. They come in ten recognised colours and we breed all of them.

They are as follows; BROWN;
Dark seal brown, which the Americans call Sable. CHOCOLATE;
Medium honey-lighter brown also known as Champagne.
BLUE;
Silvery blue-grey.
LILAC;
Pale
pinkish grey a bit like the colour ivory, which is known in USA as Platinum. RED;
Rich bright mandarin-orange.
CREAM; Lovely
soft pastel dilute of orange and not as bright as
Red. BROWN
TORTIE;
An exquisite combination of Brown and Red (in various hues) softly
distributed throughout the coat. CHOCOLATE
TORTIE;
Combination of Chocolate and hues of Red through the coat. BLUE CREAM;
Very pretty silvery blue and soft cream mixture - a really lovely colour mix.
LILAC TORTIE Fantastic
blend of Pinkish grey and cream, which looks like shot silk in the
sunlight.

We
breed all these colours and get many really beautiful Tortie females. Our
colours are normally evenly distributed throughout the coat. If you have never seen a Tortie, then you may be pleasantly
surprised. We have had Brown Torties sold as soon as they are born for the connoisseur
of coat colours. All colours are slightly lighter on the underparts of the
body, with slightly darker ears and face. This is most obvious in a pale
coated chocolate and this mask is inherited from the Siamese used way back
in the development of the breed from the little brown cat, Wong Mau, from
Burma. She was the first registered in USA. Reds and Creams
and their combinations came later.
